Bacon Cheese Swirls

1 egg
1/2 cup low fat shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup crumbled bacon
1 package frozen puff pastry dough
1 tablespoon water

    Cooking Directions

    Preheat oven to 400 F. Unfold frozen puff pastry dough and let it thaw for 10 minutes. Whisk the egg and water in a small bowl and brush a dough sheet with egg mixture.

    Sprinkle dough with crumbled bacon

    then with cheese

    Roll up the dough sheet

    Cut into 1/2 inch slices

    Put slices on greased baking sheet and brush with egg mixture.

    Bake about 15 minutes or until swirls are golden brown. 
    Remove pastries from the baking sheets and let cool on wire racks for 10 minutes.
